BIOGRAPHY

He began writing  poetry and composing songs with piano during adolescence.

He studied painting in San Carlos Academy and Theater courses at the Faculty of Arquitecture, both in the National University of México.

Self-taugth photographer, he worked  as a travel photographer in the national airline Aeroméxico, as well as Boureau de Diseño y Publicidad, where in addition was Art Director.

He was part of the poetry workshops in the Capilla Alfonsina (Alfonso Reyes Library).

He has had exhibitions of paintings individually  and  collectively since 1996 until now 2015.

Self-taught in piano, trompet, saxophon and flute.

He has written for magazines and newspapers like Sábado, from Uno Más Uno, La Crónica de Cancún, Cartapacios, D´Casa, Punto de Partida, etc.

He studied composition, improvisation and saxophone with Henry West and also pleyed in West´s  Avant gard group Atrás del Cósmos.

In the Conservatory  National of Music, he studied Saxophon with Joel David Katz. Right there took courses of Composition and musical education with Itzvan Lang and Gabor Frizz respectively.

He has participaded as an actor, musician and composer in several play like Tina Modotti, Jesucristo Gómez, Danos más Sangre, Gorgo Jorobado, Otra Ópera de Tres Centavos, etc.

He has recived four grants, two of them  for work of composition.

Has pleyed countless conserts unaccompanied saxophone.

Has also participaded en many experimental music groups like,

La Desbandada, Anarquía, Salida, Pasos en la Azotea.

He founded The Reunion group to play is own compositions.

he has pleyed Medieval Music  with saxophone a capella in the International Festival Cervantino.

He has performed at the International Festival of Caribbean Culture.

He has performed  solo and with his group La Reunión at the International Jazz Festivals of Cancún, Mérida and Riviera Maya.

With the Folgarolas Trio has pleyed Traditional Jazz in Festivals (Jazz Mex. Fiesta several years). concerts and Clubes.

In recent years  he has been working with his multidisciplinary group Vuelo Libre (Free Flight).
